It is lupus

Apparently if you want to paint metal realistically you must get lots of contrast. But I enjoy sabotaging myself even if I don't do it on purpose. So, thinking that it looked too much like careless cell shading I decided to use the blur tool. And I get overexcited with that crap and this is the result. The result is not disgusting but it doesn't look much like real metal, except maybe sodium or other alcaline metal exposed to air.

I tried to find a tutorial, but they were either too simplistic or too complicated.

It is funny how something that may look rough or unfinished does look like what a skilled artist wants to. Some rough strokes and you got steel armor.  But I can't pull it off ! D: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=…
